INDEPENDENT AIR SUPPLY: For a separate external air supply to each pump segment, change the “C” in the above model numbers to “S”. The End Plate air supply ports will be inoperative.

NORMALLY OPEN (N.O.) SOLENOID VALVES are used for a constant-on vacuum mode that eliminates the possibility of dropping a part in event of a power failure. The N.O. solenoid must be energized in order to turn off the vacuum pump and release the part. While this fail-safe mode is effective, it is also wasteful of compressed air so a separate main air supply shut-off valve is recommended for long periods of inactivity.

NON-RETURN VALVES are specified by adding “R” after the basic pump number (AXM1NR). They are often used to prevent manifold exhaust air from flowing into inactive pump segments Non-return valves must not be used for safety circuits.

VACUUM SWITCH OPTION: Add suffix “S” for a V-3 style switch mount and order VN-3 or VP-3 Switch as a separate line item. Electronic switches do not travel well when assembled to the manifold assembly so they should be attached just prior to installation.

DIGITAL VACUUM SWITCH OPTION: Add suffix “DS” for a digital switch mount and order the DVN61-4, DVP61-4, DVN62-4, DVP62-4, DVN602-4, or DVP602-4 Switch as a separate line item. Electronic switches do not travel well when assembled to the manifold assembly so they should be attached just prior to installation. EDCO will attach the proper mount to the switch to make the job as simple as possible.

MANIFOLD END PLATES: Each manifold assembly requires a set of end plates and tie-rods of the correct length, as designated by the number of pump segments in the assembly. Order End Plates as a separate line item. For example: EN-4 would be for a 4-segment assembly with NPT ports, and EG-6 would be for a 6-segment assembly with BSPP ports. Manifolds can be built with any number of segments between 1 and 10. Both end plate includes a ¼” air supply and a ½” pump exhaust port.
